The adaptive reuse of a former PNC Bank building has been transformed into Gentle Harvest: a café, drive-through carry-out, market, and specialty grocery store featuring organic meat, produce, and local vendors.

The interior of the bank was stripped of all non-structural elements. Removing the carpet revealed heart pine floors with marble inlay, which we restored. Beneath the dropped ceiling was a beautiful, coffered ceiling. Steel bar joists were left exposed and painted white. The bank vault became the perfect place for a wine cellar.

This project exemplifies adaptive reuse in architecture, which is crucial in conserving land and resources.
