Wort Hog Brewing Company

Wort Hog Brewing Company is the first microbrewery in Old Town Warrenton, Virginia and one of our adaptive reuse projects. The extensive renovation was part of a joint industrial revitalization project of historic downtown areas with the Virginia Commonwealth, the Town of Warrenton, and Wort Hog Brewing Company.

The adaptive reuse retains the architectural character of the original auto dealership built in the 1960’s and features an outdoor trellised beer garden, tap room, mezzanine, and covered rooftop deck. A structural steel mezzanine was designed to support the weight of 50,000 pounds of beer in five tanks. Exterior walls had to be raised to increase the ceiling height for interior mezzanine seating.
